For me, Easter is the start of spring. It may be because of what Easter means for me, our Savior has risen on the third day, just as He said he would.

From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.

Do you know why Christians dye eggs for Easter? Mesopotamian Christians began dying their eggs red as symbolism for the blood of Christ shed for our sins as our Messiah. The egg represents the empty tomb of Jesus.

Sponge painting the eggs took the cake for the kids. Watching them sit in colored water wasn't as fun. Who would've thought? ;)

Today we spend the day with friends after service and breakfast with our church. I pray that you and your family have a blessed Easter and revel in the greatness that is our Savior, Jesus Christ.
